Who is the programme for ?Candidates who want to work in a coaching environment, or have experience of coaching and have a passion for coaching football at grass roots level.What is the programme structure ?The course is made of a level 3 certificate in sport, combined with a coaching/leadership qualifications. A Level 2 Sports qualification, Level 2 English and maths or grade C/D GCSE profile at Level 2, Aged 17+, Level 1 FA Coach (preferred).
The programme will be delivered via a range of practical activities on the Astro-turf and theory based lectures in classrooms.Regular assessments in the workplace or simulated setting.
Will there be any extra costs involved?Uniform/ training kit approximately £70.Students will be expected to provide their own footwear and clothing for practical sessions.Selection on the course football team is subject to a trial.Any student experiencing financial difficulty can apply to the Learner Support Fund.
Students who complete this course can progress onto Foundation Degree, gain employment as a Coach or in a sports development setting.
