Media: Level 2 BTEC Diploma at NESCOT
Our Level 2 First Diploma in Creative Media course has been designed to reflect industry, and as such you will develop your creative, technical and organisational skills across a number of media sectors. Using industry-standard software and equipment, working individually and in teams, you will complete a diverse range of projects that will stand you in good stead for a level 3 qualification.
The course is made up of 10 units, 2 of which are externally examined.

Planning and pitching a digital media product.
Digital Moving Image Production
Digital Editing for Moving Image
Animation for Digital Media
Factual Media Production
Deconstructing Media Products
Final digital production project (linear)
4 GCSEs at grade D or above including English, or Level 1 Diploma plus English.
Assessment is by coursework and two exams. 8 units are internally assessed and graded by lecturers. The 2 exams will take place in January with re sits available in May. Grades awarded are at a level 1, pass, merit or distinction level.
