Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Apprenticeship at West Cheshire College

Course description

You will train mainly in the workplace under the supervision of a specified mentor and spend one day a week at College. Both programmes meet national standards and are supported by the Motor Industry Training Council. On the Apprenticeship you will work towards completing both the VRQ and VCQ Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 2. On the Advanced Apprenticeship you will work towards completing the VRQ and VCQ Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 3 including your functional skills in English, maths and IT. The Apprenticeship would suit those working in garages and vehicle repair centres as Light Vehicle Technicians. The Advanced Apprenticeship would suit those working in garages and vehicle repair centres as Light Vehicle Technicians.

You can achieve a VRQ Diploma Level 2 or VRQ Level 3 if you achieve the Advanced Apprenticeship.
