A Level Economics

Course content

This course provides a first look into Economics and will support students wishing to study economics and degree level.

The AS level is composed of two markets in action and the international economy.

After successful completion of the AS, students undertake two additional modules which include both micro and macro economics.

Entry requirements

5 A* to C grade passes at GCSE level including English. At least a high grade C in GCSE Mathematics and English is required for the As Mathematics AS Course. 

Future opportunities

A Level Economics is a universally respected qualification, regarded highly by both employers and universities. Economics A level will be an advantage for any student who wants to work in the fields of Accountancy, Banking, Business and Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Statistics, Teaching and many more.
