Level 2 Hairdressing at Trans4m

Course description

The Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing takes place in our "Love Hair Salon". You will work towards units including:

Cut Women's Hair

Colour and Lighten Hair

Shampoo and Condition Hair

Creative Hairdressing Design Skills

Scalp Massage Service

You will also learn about health and saefty, client consultation, promoting products and services. You will learn about the hair industry and be supported with progresion into further learning or employment.

Course content

Students on the course will work towards gaining the following units: following health and safety practice, working in the hair industry, client consultation, shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, art of dressing hair, colour and lighten the hair, cut womens hair, display stock, promote products and services, create an image based on a theme, salon reception duties.

Entry requirements

We generally require a Level 1 in Hair and Beauty; Level 1 in Maths and English.

Assessment

All assessment is a combination of practcal and theory. You will complete a range of assignments throughout the year, practical observations and multi choice end tests.  

 

Financial information

There are no course or equipment fees.  Learners may be eligible to apply for a £40 per week bursary dependent upon household income.

Further information

Whilst on the course you may be required to do maths and English dependent upon your prior attainment.  You will also be supported to develop personel, social and employability skills to assist your progression into the workplace or further training.
