Music - BTEC First Diploma at Grange Technology College

Course description

This course builds on work done in years 7, 8, and 9. Pupils develop their practical music skills and learn to compose their own songs and pieces of music using computers and live performances.

Course content

Composition, performing, storing and marketing of one's own music;

Study of chosen instrument with a specialist teacher;

Study of music from different cultures and times;

Study of professional opportunities within the music industry;

Visits to see and learn from professional performances;

Working as part of a team on an extended and challenging project.
