Course description

Ideal if: you wish to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry at a technical level, as a full-time student or as a current employee.

You'll need:four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, mathematics and science, or a relevant construction qualification.

You'll learn: from a range of units covering topics such as sustainable construction, building technology, surveying, project management, tendering and estimating, and construction technology and design.

Expect: your assignments and projects to be assessed throughout your course.

You'll love: the industry focus of this course; exploring the challenges and exciting developments in this ever-changing business.

You'll go onto: employment or university study.

Entry requirements

You will need a minimum of three GCSE passes at grade C or above which must include mathematics, science and English. Alternatively a First Diploma in Construction, or other related qualification may be considered suitable. Contact us to discuss this further. An interview is required.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the course will enable you to continue or start you career in a variety of fields including architecture, building management, building surveying, quantity surveying, land surveying, civil engineering and building control.
