IFS University College Level 2 Certificate in Fincancial Education at De Aston School

Course description

The Level 2 Certificate in Financial Education (CeFE) has been designed to enable students to be responsible citizens by providing them with the skills and knowledge to manage their money well and make sound financial decisions. The CeFE also aims to provide students with an understanding of the wider realm of public finance and the economy. You learn by completing tasks and projects that are based on realistic, common personal finance situations and dilemmas.

Course Content:

You will complete the learning and the assessment for the following units by March:

  • Unit 1: Finance, the Individual and Society
  • Unit 2: Practices of Managing Money

You will complete the learning and the assessment for the following unit by June:

  • Unit 3: Financial Capability, Work and Enterprise

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade E and above, including English Language and Maths. A vocational qualification will be considered as an equivalent to a GCSE qualification provided that at least a Level 1 Pass has been achieved overall.
