Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Cranford Community College

Course description

As part of the course you will be completing 100% coursework units which must be at a Pass to qualify for a grade. You gain 1 A Level if all 6 units are completed. If 12 units (with 100 hours of work experience in a health & social care setting) are completed over 2 years then you obtain 2 A Levels.

Entry requirements

Normally D in English.

Assessment

Year 12

  • Single award 3 x 100% coursework units
  • Double award 6 x 100% coursework units

Year 13

  • Single award 3 x 100% coursework units
  • Double award 6 x 100% coursework units

Future opportunities

Higher Education opportunities such as a degree/diploma in nursing, midwifery, social work, occupational therapy, radiotherapy, paramedics, speech and language therapy, health studies. Direct entry into employment within the Health and Social care services is a progression route, for example, as a Clinical Support Nurse, Home Help, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Physiotherapy Assistant.
