Course description

BTEC level 3 Applied Science is equivalent to an A level.  It will allow students who may want to follow a science level 3 qualification but who did not achieve the required grades for A level

Entry requirements

5  GCSE's including 2 in Science at grade C (Core and Additional) and English & Maths at grade 4/5



The course is predominantly laboratory based with integrated practical work, content based lessons, group work and discussion

During the first year you will study three mandatory units to achieve the BTEC certificate (1 unit is examined)

During the second year a further three modules can be studied to gain the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Science (1 unit is examined)
