Course description

The Food Technology course has been designed to encourage candidates to take a broad view of Food Science and nutrition, to develop their capacity to design and make food products in both years of the course, and to appreciate the complex relations between design, materials, manufacture and marketing. A distinguishing feature of this Food Technology Course is its practical nature.

Students will be able to demonstrate and apply Food Technology skills, using knowledge and understanding of relevant ingredients and their working characteristics, alongside processes and techniques and use of materials and equipment to produce suitable and appropriate outcomes.
