Sport (Subsidiary Diploma - BTEC Level 3) at Chislehurst School for Girls

Course description

A Level 3 Certificate that covers both theory and practical

It offers flexibility and choice through optional units (please see other sheet for more information).

It is equivalent to one GCE A Level.

It offers an engaging programme for those who are clear about the area of employment that they wish to enter.

It can be developed to allow learners to study related and complementary qualifications.

Entry requirements

Must have a passion and real interest in sport/Health and fitness. You take part in a sporting activity or Physical activity outside of school. Having a GCSE in PE would be advantageous. You have 5 GCSE‟s A*-C (the criteria for sixth form entry) You are a dedicated and hard working student who can take responsibility for their own learning

Assessment

All units are internally assessed through coursework(there is no examination) All assessment for the BTEC qualifications is based on the achievement of specified learning outcomes. Each unit you cover will be awarded at pass, merit or distinction:
