Introduction to the Construction Industry Entry 3 at Lincoln College

Course description

The course consists of basic training to achieve Entry Level 3 Introduction to Construction practical standards and the supporting theoretical knowledge at this level.
During the course of the programme, you will study: Introduction to Health and Safety in Construction; Constructing Halving Joints (Joinery); Constructing Half Brick Walling (Brickwork); Introduction to the Construction Industry; Painting Techniques (Painting and Decorating) and Preparing Background Surfaces and Applying Render Coats (Plastering).
Successful completion of this programme could allow you to progress onto a Level 1 programme in a chosen trade area.


Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this programme but you must pass a trade test and meet a minimum score set by the department.


Assessment is a combination of practical tests and online theory examinations.
