Electrical Installation: Level 2 at Suffolk New College

Course description

You will build your skills in our fully equipped modern workshops and purpose built inspection and test facilities. You will be given the opportunity to perform demonstrations at local shows while learning about the world of work. The course will also develop your personal, social and employability skills, which includes opportunities to work on community projects and to explore the various career pathways within the electrical. You will have the chance to use the job-related skills you learn on a range of projects within the community.

All students who have not achieved a grade C, or 4 or above, in GCSE English or Mathematics will need to study these alongside their chosen main qualification.

 

Course content

This programme of study provides not only a recognised foundation for those looking to pursue an exciting career as an electrician within the building services sector, but also provides opportunities to develop valuable transferable skills allied to other industries. You will develop your knowledge and practical skills within a fully equipped, modern environment supported and guided by an established enthusiastic team of qualified professionals.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade D or 3, or above including Mathematics, English and Science and also successful completion of the BPEC Aptitude test 60% pass (30 minutes).

Tuition Costs

Future opportunities

On completion of the course, successful students will have a national qualification allowing them to apply to progress to the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations.
