Spanish A Level at Alsop High School

Course description

Students will be expected to spend a proportion of their own time (an average of 4-6 hours a week) in personal study and follow-up topics using the materials and resources available to develop and broaden their language skills

Entry requirements

A-C AT GCSE An ‘A’ Level in a Modern Foreign Language enables students to progress from GCSE standard to a level where they have the necessary language skills to understand advanced spoken and written Spanish from a wide variety of sources and communicate with confidence orally and in writing.

Future opportunities

Learning a Foreign Language creates opportunities to gain a greater understanding of other cultures, to broaden horizons and to acquire essential communication skills. Languages can be combined successfully with any other subject. Your studies will be both academically challenging and an important first step into the international world of work
