Diploma in Barbering Level 2 at West Kent College

Course description

Learn how to advise and consult clients and promote services and products, as well as how to:
- Shampoo and condition hair and scalp
- Apply men’s hair colouring
- Dry and finish men’s hair
- Cut hair and facial hair
- Promote products and services to clients
- Work experience
You will be assessed by practical and written assessments, course work and oral questions. We will also help you achieve a Grade C in GCSE
in English and maths, if you don’t have these yet. You will need to buy specialist equipment and clothing.

Entry requirements

You will need four GCSEs at Grades D/3 or above, including English and maths or have achieved a full Level 1 qualification. Your enrolment is subject to a successful interview, references and skills assessment.

Future opportunities

Hairdressing work or the Hairdressing Level 3.
