Advanced Level Biology at King Solomon Academy

Course description

Biology is the one science that has the most direct relevance to every aspect of our daily lives. Advanced mathematics and obscure symbols are not needed to understand the theories in this subject. You don't even have to learn a plethora of Latin names any more. However, you do need to appreciate the uniqueness of Earth that allows it to possess the prerequisites for 'life'. Biologists study the life that exists on Earth from microbes to mammals, and allows for an understanding of not only how our bodies work and how diseases stop them working, but also the fragility of life on Earth. The subject goes on to study the fragile relationship between humans and the ecosystems they live in, and how our actions can have profound consequences on our environment.
