Course description


Course content

This is a specialist course that will appeal to students with an interest in science and technology. You will learn how a computer works, how to use up-to-date application packages and how to solve problems using a computer. You will also develop knowledge in software engineering and programming skills. You will investigate the limitations of computer systems and their impact on society.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths)are required to study a full A Level programme.

Assessment

You will pass the course by successfully completing module examinations and a coursework project.

Future opportunities

You could progress to a BSc Hons degree in Computing, Information Sytems or an ICT related degree. Following on from this you could enter employment as a hardware designer/engineer, systems analyst, programmer, computer operator or a teacher.
