Electrical Installation Level 2 Diploma at North Kent College

Course description

This course advances learners understanding of the techniques and practices used within the Electrical and Building Services industries.

Course content

Learners practice the installation of domestic (240V) and industrial (up to 10,000V) wiring and electrical components including circuit breakers, consumer units, lighting and power circuits, in accordance with industry standard regulations.

The course focuses on developing the hands on use of tools and components to complete real installations, and develops students theoretical knowledge of the underpinning maths and science which explain how these systems work.

Entry requirements

Level 1 Diploma in Electrical Installation, 2 GCSE's Grade C in Maths and English and 2 GCSE's at D of which one must be Science.  In addition, all students will be interviewed and must provide a copy of an up-to-date school report.
