History B at Huddersfield Grammar School
The Aim of GCSE History - We aim to foster in students an interest in the past, so that they can understand how this country and the world in general has evolved into its present state.History is all about asking questions and attempting to ascertain the truth. We would like to encourage students to ask questions and to be cautious about accepting all they read and hear at face value. It is important in history to be able to argue a point of view both verbally and in writing.Through the study of history, we would like to equip students with the necessary skills to be able to put forward their opinion eloquently and competently using all the evidence at their disposal.
