LEVEL BTEC Level 3 National Award
EXAMINATION BOARD EDEXCEL
The course is 100% Assignment based – there are no exams. Assessment methods can include: case studies, projects and presentations. There are 3 grades available: Pass, Merit and Distinction and each grade can earn UCAS points. You are responsible for your own learning. Similar to BTEC First except course content is in greater detail. This course is equivalent to one Advanced Level. Students must study 6 units at a total of 360 guided learning hours.
• 2 Year Course: 3 units in Year 1 and 3 units in Year 2
This National Award will provide you with the opportunity to gain a strong grounding in all aspects of Sport in relation to development, coaching and fitness. The course is both theoretical and practical in nature and the practical element will enable you to immediately put into practice what you have learnt in the classroom.
5 A* - C at GCSE.

WHERE CAN THE COURSE LEAD?
National Award Sport students will have the opportunity to work within a variety of sport-related organisations including Leisure Centres, Gyms, Activity Centres and Sport Retail Outlets.
