Music Diploma Level 2 at Gloucestershire College
This course will give you the opportunity to explore theoretical aspects of the vast music industry.

We have got fantastic kit and resources combining both the sonic benefits of analogue mixing and processing technology with the accessibility and control of digital computer recording and editing.
Gloucestershire College Music students learn how to use a wide range of professional software and kit, organise, promote, perform at and film their own gigs and at acoustic gigs.
You’ll also have the opportunity to perform at the UK Skills Battle of the Bands competition.
Students develop wider skills (research, presentation) that will prepare you for work within the music industry, university and other forms of employment .
Our link with the skills academy offers many opportunities for our music students to watch the professionals set up the sound and lighting such as the Duran Duran gig at Cardiff NIA, Rammstein and Australian Pink Floyd.
Your studies will include:
- Performance skills
- Technical skills like producing
- How to use a range of music technology suites and recording studio
At Gloucestershire College we want students to develop their English and maths skills so that they achieve their learning goals and future career aims. For this reason all full-time students who have not achieved grade A* to C English language or maths GCSE will study these subjects as part of their course.
You will need to have 3 GCSE's at grade D or above, ideally one in Music
Upon achieving merit or distinction grades, you may progress onto Level 3 extended diploma in music, music technology or performing arts
