Mathematics A Level at Trinity Church of England School, Belvedere

Course description

Develop your understanding of mathematics and processes in a way that promotes confidence and develop abilities to reason logically. You will recognise how a situation may be represented mathematically and use mathematics as an effective means of communication. The AS course comprises of three units – Core 1, Core 2 and Statistics 1. The A2 course comprises of three units – Core 3, Core 4 and Mechanics 1. Each unit is worth 33% at AS level and 16.7% at A2.

What Next? 

A-level Mathematics is an essential requirement for degree level study of mathematics at most universities. Beyond that it makes a massive statement about your capacity to study in any field requiring logical thought and requiring problem solving skills. A-level Mathematics is a highly regarded qualification and can lead to careers in engineering and the sciences.

 5 A* - C including at least a B grade in Mathematics.
