Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 3 Diploma at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is a continuation of the Level 2 course and deals with the repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles.

Course content

You will study units including contributing to workplace good housekeeping, ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety and maintaining positive working relationships.

Entry requirements

You will need to have City & Guilds 4101 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance Level 2 (both VRQ and NVQ parts) or, in the opinion of the course team leader, have sufficient practical experience to enable you to complete the qualification.

Assessment

Your progress will be assessed by a number of observed practical tasks in the workplace, witness testimony and verbal questioning of essential knowledge.

Future opportunities

After completing the course you will be able to progress to a range of further education and professional body awards.
