In Sixth Form you can look forward to a diverse range of activities outside of the classroom. We will start the year with a team building event at Lodge Hill. Here you will come together as a year group, learn the value of independent
thinking and practise problem solving. Throughout the year you will attend a 'Step Up' session once a fortnight.
These sessions vary enormously and include outside speakers and visitors covering a wide range of topics
including futures planning, sexual health, social media and employment opportunities.
In the summer term you will have the chance to go on a residential trip to New York or Auschwitz in Poland.
These trips run bi-annually and offer a great enrichment opportunity. You will be able to pay for these throughout
the year. We also arrange university visits, a trip to London, a visit to a Higher Education Fair, an end-of-year ball
and to go to the Safe Driving event. Throughout the school year there will also be plenty of opportunities to get
involved in fundraising for a range of charities, support younger students through peer mentoring and become
a role model in a variety of different ways.
We are always looking for more opportunities to enrich your Sixth Form life and we listen to your student voice through the Sixth Form Committee to see how we can enhance your experience.
