Studying Art equips you with a whole set of transferable skills both for life and for a wide range of vocational areas. These include lateral thinking, creative problem solving, analytical and critical thinking, verbal reasoning, communication, risk taking, the ability to use your own initiative, time-management and organisation.
Studying Art allows you to work in the creative industries with employment ranging from Fashion, Gallery/Museum Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Film and Television Design, Jewellery Design, Theatre and Set Design and Production.
We aim to develop young working creative professionals who will leave college with a portfolio of work evidencing your ability to pursue a career in the arts.

To study A-Levels at RSFC you must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A* - C, covering at least four different subject areas. Two of the 5 A* - C grades must include GCSE Maths and English Language. A good school reference, attendance and behaviour record are also required as is a positive college interview.
If you are between 16 and 19 years old and think that you might struggle with the costs of full-time education you may apply for a bursary. The students most in need will be eligible to receive a bursary of £1,200 a year. This group includes:
• Disabled young people in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance
• Young people in care• Care leavers
• Young people in receipt of income support
Other students facing genuine financial difficulties can apply for the Discretionary Bursary Fund (DBF).The DBF can support students with travel costs, equipment, books and other course-related costs.
