Course content

The specification covers a wide range of contexts and offers candidates the opportunity to study and solve real problems using ICT solutions.  A range of assessment techniques are provided for candidates to prove their competencies, through practical applications as well as written exam paper(s).  Portfolio and Project coursework involves information handling (Databases), Spreadsheets and software modelling and communicating information.


Short CourseExam paper 1 (40% of marks) - Foundation G - C 1 hour, Higher D - A* 1.5 hours.Coursework (60%) - Portfolio of tasks. Full CourseExam paper 1 (20%), Exam paper 2 (20%)Coursework (60%) = Portfolio of tasks (30%), Project (30%)
