Carpentry & Joinery - Level 2 Diploma at The Parker E-act Academy

The first two terms of the programme focus on completing the Level 1 Diploma. On completion of this, students spend the remaining four terms on the Level 2 Diploma. This award covers both practical and underpinning knowledge of carpentry and joinery, including first and second fixing, structural timbering and Health & Safety related to the construction industry. A range of study methods are used including lectures, tutorials and practical sessions. Duties need to be undertaken within the workshop. Key Skills qualifications are also integrated into the course, together with relevant additional qualifications which include the BTEC First Diploma in Construction. Continuous assessment is made up of assignments,

written and practical tests and duties.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications required. Students will complete the Level 1 Diploma initially and if successful will progress to Level 2.
