Computing at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School

Course description

Computing gets on the inside of the single most powerful tool the world has seen. Computers figure in all our lives; in science, technology, manufacturing, research, and medicine. You will learn about what programming and data are all about. The course will explore in great depth computer systems, hardware and the Internet as well as the design of websites. You’ll also develop an advanced understanding of operating system development, software engineering and data base design

Entry requirements

Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers. To study with us you will need to have an average of at least 6 grade Bs at GCSE, (including grade B’s in any subjects that you wish to study at A level that you have already studied at GCSE.) We are aware that there may be special circumstances that mean that you won’t achieve this level of results. We do sometimes reduce this minimum standard under such conditions - please do get in touch.
