History at Bridlington School Sports College
Unit 1: Britain, 1483-1529. How effectively did the early Tudors establish and consolidate their monarchy? This unit provides an overview of developments in England between 1483 and 1529.
Unit 2: Anti-Semitism, Hitler and the German People, 1919-1942. This unit provides an opportunity to investigate Hitler's impact on German attitudes and policies towards the Jews. The main emphasis will be on an analysis and assessment of Hitler's own anti-semitic ideas and actions.
Unit 3: The Triumph of Elizabeth: Britain, 1541-1603. This unit promotes an understanding of change and continuity over a period of 60 years of British history, during which the power of the Tudor state was strengthened both at home and abroad.
Unit 4: Historical Enquiry outline form. Submit your enquiry outline for approval by completing the form.
Historical Enquiry (Personal Study): Candidates will be required to submit an Historical Enquiry based on the investigation of a historical issue.
5 A* - C grades (including English and Maths) plus a grade B or higher in this subject.
