Biology - Human Biology A-Level at George Salter Academy

Course description

Through study of Human Biology you will gain a knowledge and understanding of bodily processes, the effects of disease, the mechanisms by which drugs affect our bodies and the structure of the vital cells and organs in the human body. This course will also allow you to develop the practical skills necessary to answer questions about the body and give an insight into higher level research and study of Human Biology.

This course will provide knowledge and skills desirable for many degree level courses such as Medicine, Physiotherapy, Biomechanics, Biochemistry and Sports Science.
