Physics at Denefield School

Course description

This is a modern course covering a wide range of topics, from ‘quantum phenomena’ and ‘particles’ to ‘waves’ and ‘material properties’. 20% of the final assessment is based on students’ individual practical assessments.

The course links the principles of physics with their applications in the wider context of industry and technology. Students are encouraged to develop their investigative skills, and apply their knowledge to original problems.

Entry requirements

To study the full range of AS Level subjects you will need to have achieved an average of 46 points from your GCSE qualifications (mostly B grades +) and, a minimum of B grades in science and/or mathematics should you be applying to study these subjects.
