Course description

The Level 2 Hair and Media Make-up Diploma has been designed for those wanting to prepare for a career as a make-up artist in television, fashion, and make-up consultancy.

Attendance - full time, 3 days a week over 1 year.

You will need to purchase salon wear, equipment, textbooks and a fee towards consumables used on the course.

Course content

You will study units such as:

  • The art of photographic make-up

  • Apply make-up

  • The art of dressing hair

  • Create an image based on a hair and beauty theme

  • Skin Tanning

  • Themed face painting

  • Mendhi

  • Eye Treatments

  • Consultation for Hair Services

  • Apply Temporary Hair Colour

  • Plaiting and twisting hair

  • Make a Hair Addition

  • Health and Safety

  • Client Care and Communication
