Electrical Installations Diploma Level 3 at Canterbury College
This course leads on from the Level 2 qualification, and develops the training and skills needed to become a qualified electrician. This course covers advanced subjects which will allow you to progress to higher levels. You will need to be employed in the electrical industry.
You will learn: health & safety in building services engineering; understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems; the principles of electric science; electrical installations (fault diagnosis and rectification, inspection, testing and commissioning); electrical system design; and career awareness in building services engineering.
You should have the following: a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations at Merit or Distinction; 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (including maths and English). Entry onto the course in subject to an interview.
You will be assessed by an online exam and two written examinations.
You can progress to professionally-required qualifications at Canterbury College.
Students are expected to complete 34 hours of work experience.
