Electrotechnical City & Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 Diploma at Doncaster College

Course description

​This course is suitable for students who are not employed but seeking to gain employment within both the commercial or industrial electrical building services sectors.

Course content

The course is a one year course, offered on a full-time two and a half day a week basis of 7 hours a day over 32 weeks.

Electrical Installations Technology (mainly theory based)

  • Principles of Electrical Science (theory based training and assessment)
  • Installing of Wiring Systems and enclosures (practical and theory training and assessment)
  • Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering (practical & theory training and assessment)
  • Understand how to communicate with others within the Building Services Engineering.


Entry requirements

​Applicants should possess GCSE’s at grade C or above in Maths and English.  Alternatively mature students must have the ability to achieve Level 2 in a College Assessment.


​To be awarded the 2365-02 diploma, candidates must successfully complete 5 modules which will be assessed via a combination of practical assessments, and online multi choice tests.

Future opportunities

​Successful candidates can progress onto the Level 3 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations.

This qualification is a progression towards becoming a qualified electrician within the Electrical Contracting Industry.
