Apprenticeship (Level 2) in Children's Care, Learning and Development at JACE Training and Assessment Centre

Course description

Children's Care, Learning and Development is a qualification for people who are looking after children aged between 0 to 16 within a professional childcare setting. The qualification teaches the key stages of children's physical, social, emotional, language and intellectual development. The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD) is for people aged 16 to 65 years who are new to the childcare profession and want to work with children aged between 0-16 years. The Apprenticeship framework will enable you to train while you work. You will study for a nationally recognised qualification (an NVQ) along with a group of smaller but sector essential qualifications which together make up your apprenticeship framework. The qualification consists of 10 units, 6 of which are mandatory. You then choose one particular option unit and complete this 7 unit award. For those who might need additional training before they embark on an apprenticeship, we offer a Pre-apprenticeship course called e2e. For more information on e2e, please click here. A Level 2 Apprenticeship can take on average 12 months to complete

Entry requirements

No entry qualifications are required although good GCSE grades in English and Numeracy are a definite advantage.
