Course description

What will I be studying?

A Level Critical Thinking is an academic enrichment qualification.

AS Level - There is no set content to learn on this course. Instead, the course focuses on the skill of thinking logically. You will develop a capacity for methodical thinking which will be helpful in all aspects of future life and study.

A Level - You will develop the skills needed for the resolution of dilemmas and problem solving, as well as the ability to write a well-developed argument. You will also extend your abilities to analyse critically the thinking of others. There is no coursework.

Where can it take me?

AS/A Level Critical Thinking is excellent preparation for university, particularly for study in Law, Medicine, Philosophy, Mathematics or Journalism. It is highly regarded as evidence of your ability to think and reason logically, qualities all employers look for and assess in aptitude tests.

Entry requirements

At least 4 C grades at GCSE (or equivalent) in at least 3 different subjects.
