Marketing Level 2 Apprenticeship at Strode College

Course description

Our broad range of Business and Finance Apprenticeships provide opportunities to learn about and develop in different key roles and departments within business. You may focus on a specific discipline such as accounting, administration, customer service or marketing, or develop your career through a more general management route. Either way, the training that you receive will give you the knowledge and skills that you need to thrive in the range of business environments.

Course content

Marketing is a creative industry that is essential to commercial success. It is concerned with finding the needs and wants of people, developing a product or service that meets that need and helping create a desire for what has been created.

Marketing involves several specialisms including:

  • Direct Marketing (communicating directly with the consumer via mailings, emails or telephone calls)
  • Market Research (gathering and analysing information on customers, competitors and the market)
  • Public Relations (managing the public image of your product or organisation).

Within this apprenticeship, the nature of the work will depend on your employer. However, you are likely to be working as a marketing or market research assistant or executive, or perhaps in event management.

You may learn how to create and execute a marketing plan for products or services; help manage budgets, distribution plans and carry out research.

Each Apprenticeship Framework includes its own specific qualifications for the role and area of business that you work in, but all Apprenticeship Frameworks include Functional Skills in English and Maths and Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

Entry requirements

The level of Apprenticeship you can undertake will depend on your current skills and qualifications and the role offered by the employer.
