Plumbing Level 3 Apprenticeship at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

Level 3 Plumbing Apprenticeships provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation, maintenance, commissioning and servicing of domestic plumbing and heating systems. This programme can help you to progress in a wide range of roles within the domestic plumbing and heating sector, including: heating and ventilation engineer, specialised craftsperson (plumber or heating engineer), Project development manager, senior skilled operative. Undertaken in the the workplace and College environments, this programme allows people to demonstrate their competence, set against National Occupational Standards, in a wide range of plumbing activities and gain the necessary skills required to pursue a career in the industry. Applicants will need to have relevant employment within the industry. before they can start their programme. Our Business Account Managers can assist in helping you secure a position if you do not already have one. 

Entry requirements

Relevant Level 2 Qualification in plumbing with Merit passes or have significant experience. All places are subject to interview and applicants will be subject to induction/probationary period

Financial information

Apprenticeships are Government funded, depending upon age and circumstance. However whilst in college you will be provided with all tools and personal protective clothing required.

Future opportunities

Once you have successfully completed the Level 3 course you could progress onto Lakes College’s HNC/D in Construction and the Built Environment or permanent employment.
