BTEC Level 1/2 First Certificate in Performing Arts at Kingston College
This course is designed to give you a broad overview of some of the career areas in the performing arts. The course is very practical and will help you perform more confidently. Success on this course will ensure you have the firm basis for work or a higher level of education. Alongside the course you will be able to retake those all-important English and Maths GCSEs
The ACT (Arthur Cotterell Theatre) is a large, professional and flexible work space and there are a number of other studio spaces in the College in which you will be able to develop your talent and create your own work. As well as this, you will benefit from a variety of workshops, theatre visits and input from guest lecturers.
The course is designed to give you an overview of some of the career areas in the performing arts. You will develop your performing skills and perform more confidently. Success on this course will ensure you have a firm basis for work or a higher level of education.
Alongside the course you will be able to retake GCSEs in English and Mathematics.

Four GCSEs at grade E/2 or above including English and/or Mathematics, a satisfactory reference and an applicant’s potential (evidenced through an interview and audition) to benefit from the course.
Other relevant qualifications and experience will be taken into account.
BTEC Level 3 90 Credit and Extended Diploma in Performing Arts or related areas or work in the performing arts industry.
