Photography Level 3 Introductory Diploma at Ormiston Forge Academy

Course description

Students will complete a series of three assignments during the year. The first unit will enable learners to explore the techniques and applications of photography. Students will explore both film-based photographic methods and the processes involved in digital photography. Students will develop ideas based on specific technique or application for their own photographic work and create a range of photographic images.

The objective of this qualification is to support learners to progress into employment or self-employment within the industry;

  • Marketing
  • Wedding photography
  • Interactive media design
  • Photographer
  • Studio photographer
  • Location photographer
  • Documentary photography

Or onto further qualifications at Level 3 and 4 in creative subjects such as photography, art and design, craft, animation and moving image production.

Entry requirements

A genuine interest in photography and a creative mind with good visual skills.
