GCSE Philosophy of Religion and Applied Ethics: Short Course at Nether Stowe School

Course description

The OCR Philosophy of Religion and Applied Ethics GCSE short course syllabus is over 2 units: Unit 1: Medical Ethics and Poverty and Wealth Unit 2: Good and Evil and Religion and Science Assessment will be two examinations taken in Year 10, each lasting 1 hour and covers each unit.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Religious Studies or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to religious studies or the more general social sciences such as a Social Worker, Teacher or Youth Worker. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
