Course description

You will study a number of key units including:

  • Performing to an Audience
  • Principles of Acting
  • Musical Theatre Performance
  • Dance Performance
  • TV and Film Acting.

Course content

We base our courses on employment needs of the region. Therefore, you can expect to learn topics that are relevant to the industry. Your course will be made up of a mixture of core modules, that are essential to the course requirements, and units that you can choose to specialize in yourself. You'll be guided by your tutor on which units to choose that will best suit you. You will study a number of key units including:-Performing to an Audience-Principles of Acting-Musical Theatre Performance-Dance Performance-TV and Film Acting.

Entry requirements

Ideally you will have achieved 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English. The courses are suited to those with an appetite to develop skills and knowledge in all areas of the performing arts. As a performing arts student you’ll have access to our bespoke facilities including an in-house studio theatre, private dance space and costume and props store. All of our staff come from a professional performing arts background so they can help you develop the skills needed for a career in this competitive industry.

Yes - If it's your first full Level 3 and you're aged 19-23 your course is funded otherwise Advanced learner loans are available
