Graphic Communication at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy

Course description

A new and exciting course which offers candidates a rounded exposure to different aspects of graphic communication, including illustration, packaging and advertising, allowing all students to display their abilities in a variety of disciplines and demonstrate their understanding of these contexts. Students will study the work of a range of graphics designers and illustrators to inform of their own individual style.

The theory content isdelivered through several mini coursework projects amd there is no formal written exam, but instead a themed 'live' exam where students make a series of products based around a given theme and the graphic style they have developed.

Entry requirements

It is desirable but not essential to have at least a grade B in GCSE Graphic Products, GCSE Computer Art, GCSE Art.
