Media Level 2 Diploma at Berkshire College of Agriculture

Course description

Our new building, the Creative Technology Building, includes our Mac Suite, fantastic learning spaces and a studio for film, performance and animation; all set within our professional working environment. Our students make good use of our beautiful and diverse campus, which lends itself to film and photographic opportunities brilliantly.

Course content

The creative industries have seen significant growth and development in the UK recently. This study programme offers a range of units to reflect the opportunities available within the media sector. It is an ideal foundation for students, providing them with an understanding of media through engagement with media products, production processes and technologies.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs or equivalent at D grade or above to include maths and English.

Future opportunities

Progress to the Level 3 90 Credit or Extended Diploma, depending on grades achieved and English and maths taken. You will also be well placed to find a job in the industry which requires ‘hands-on’ practical skills.

Further information

All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.
