Access to Higher Education Information Technology (IT) Diploma Level 3 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Course description

This course offers a fast track to university for mature students who have no formal qualifications. It will give you a wide knowledge of a range of work-based information technology skills. You will study software applications, Visual Basic programming, business technology, web page design, communications, study skills and numeracy.

Course content

You will learn in a classroom through lectures, work-related practical assignments and group work. You will develop your level of independent thinking and research skills, which are essential skills for university.

Entry requirements

You must be at least 19 years old with the necessary background and motivation to succeed. You will need GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above. You will also be required to take an English and maths assessment, and have an interview. You should have Level 2 or equivalent skills in ICT.

Assessment

You will be assessed through practical projects and coursework assignments.

Future opportunities

You could progress to an HNC/HND (Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma) or apply for a university degree course.
