The course for you if ...

You'd like to increase your confidence and broaden your social skills across key areas for employment success.

Course content

This course will not only support you in your transition into Further Education, but also give you the opportunity to try out vocational courses including:

  • Catering
  • Hair & Beauty
  • Business and Retail
  • Sport

You will additionally focus on key skills to build confidence and social skills to prepare you for Further Education and employment. You will also develop personal and social skills as well as general employability skills and Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.

Entry requirements

You don't need formal qualifications and places are offered following a successful link/assessment visit and/or informal interviews with a course leader.

Assessment

Your progress is assessed during classroom activities throughout the year. The qualification awarded is a Certificate in Employability Skills.

Future opportunities

You may be able to progress to other courses within the College or through an external programme of study.
