Economics A Level at Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College
Economics is an extremely challenging, though hugely rewarding subject that evaluates the performance of business and the economy. Economics is about choice and the impact of our choices on each other, considering how economies best manage scarce resources to improve standards of living. It relates to every aspect of our lives, from the decisions we make as individuals or families, to the structures created by governments and firms.
The A Level Economics course has two main areas of focus:
- microeconomics, which is the study of how firms and households make decisions to maximize their efficiency and gains from society;
- macroeconomics, which is the study of how the national and international economics can best be managed.
