Child Care Apprenticeship (Level 2) at Heathercroft Training

Course description

If you caring, patient, playful and good with children and if you would find watching them grow, develop and progress both enjoyable and stimulating then you should find Child Care a very rewarding career. You will need to enjoy meeting people and have a lot of energy!

The level 2 Apprenticeship will give you the necessary skills to perform a variety of work assignments – with some guidance and supervision. You will be expected to know and understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of the work. The work you will do will depend very much on the age of the children you are caring for. Young children will have quite different needs to teenagers. With nursery age children you can expect to be involved in many different activities from co-ordinating playgroup activities to nursing to feeding to cleaning-up. In short – anything and everything.
