Course description

The aims of this course are to: • Bring Physics to life and inspire students to achieve their full potential • Provide a flexible approach where the subject is divided into topics, each covering different key concepts of Physics • Foster interest and enthusiasm for further studies and careers in Physics

Course content

AS Level Physics Module 1: Development of Practical Skills Module 2: Foundation of Physics Module 3: Forces and motion Module 4: Electrons, waves and photons Modules 1 to 4 are assessed by two written papers A2 Level Physics Module 5: Newtonian World and astrophysics Module 6: Particles and medical physics Modules 1 to 6 are assessed by three written papers. Modules 1 to 4 constitute the stand-alone AS Level qualification; Modules 1 to 6, combined with the Practical Endorsement, constitute the full A Level

Entry requirements

Entry Requirements: Five A*-C grades at GCSE including an English Language and mathematics (A*-B) and either an A grade in Core and Additional Science or Physics
